RepliCode is a frontend-focused hackathon designed to test how well participants can observe, replicate, and improve real-world web interfaces.

Participants will be shown a reference website UI for a limited time and challenged to recreate it using HTML, CSS, and optional JavaScript. Internet access and AI tools are allowed, just like in real industry workflows, but participants must understand and explain what they build.

This hackathon emphasizes practical frontend skills, problem-solving, and design reasoning over memorization. Beyond replication, participants are encouraged to add thoughtful improvements that enhance usability, responsiveness, or visual clarity.

RepliCode is beginner-friendly while still rewarding clean structure, smart decisions, and creativity under time pressure.

Registration and payment for this hackathon are managed via Unstop. Only participants registered on Unstop are eligible for judging, prizes, and certificates.

Requirements

Participants must submit a publicly accessible static website link hosted using GitHub Pages, Netlify, or a similar platform.

The submitted project must be built using HTML, CSS, and optional vanilla JavaScript.

Each participant or team must explain at least one HTML, CSS, or JavaScript property used in their project.

Each submission must include at least one improvement added beyond the original reference design.

All submissions must be viewable in a browser. Local-only demos will not be evaluated.
